THERAPY

I work with clients who may be struggling to make sense of themselves and how they are in the world and their relationships. Maybe you experience anxiety, shame or guilt; or perhaps you feel insecure, or recognise that you have a pattern of engaging in behaviours which are self-defeating or self-sabotaging. Perhaps you notice that no matter how hard you try, you repeat the same unhelpful patterns across your life - in your work or education, in your relationships, in your parenting, or in other areas.

We have all developed ways of coping throughout our lives, and sometimes we get stuck in coping styles which are maladaptive and don’t serve us well. I’d love to help you get unstuck, and to develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others, and of coping with challenges and things you find difficult.

My therapeutic style is relational, person-centered, collaborative, and warm. I enjoy working with clients who want to make meaningful change to their lives, to their relationships, and to how they feel about themselves. Often this means that our work together will be medium to long term. I utilise a range of therapeutic modalities, including schema therapy, EMDR, interpersonal therapy, emotion-focussed therapy, CBT and ACT.

ASSESSMENTS

Adult ADHD Assessment

I have undertaken specific professional development in this area and utilise a thorough assessment process to understand not only whether ADHD is clinically indicated, but also to screen for the possible presence of other underlying or comorbid mental health conditions.
